Signature: Brett Rheeder's New Rider-Owned Brand Now at The Inside Line

The Inside Line now carries Signature, the new rider-driven brand founded by Brett Rheeder that's backed by a collective of some of the biggest names in mountain biking.

We’ve been watching as news of Rheeder’s new brand has started circulating through the bike world. As a multi-time Crankworx champion and X Games gold medalist, he has been one of the most influential riders in slopestyle and freeride over the past decade, so when word started getting out that he was launching something new, it definitely caught our attention. We loved what he built with Title MTB (which is still a core brand for us), but watching the rollout of Signature has been really cool from our point of view.

The brand first launched with a performance apparel line, with heavy input from riders like Caroline Buchanan, before teasing components not long afterwards. The components were first spotted at Rampage with athletes such as Robin Goomes and Emil Johansson running pieces on their bikes. Rather than rushing a full lineup to market, Signature has taken a slower approach, focusing on developing products with rider input before gradually expanding the range. It’s been interesting to see how the brand is positioning itself and how they plan to stand apart.

A Rider-Owned Approach

When we’re deciding which brands to bring into the shop, we’re always looking for companies that are rider-driven and pushing the sport forward. Signature checks both boxes. It’s a brand built by riders who are deeply involved in product development, and that kind of perspective tends to show up in the details.

Signature is backed by a collective of some of the biggest names in mountain biking, including Emil Johansson, Robin Goomes, Caroline Buchanan, Tom van Steenbergen, Dawid Godziek, Casey Brown and Clay Porter, just to name a few. Naturally, that kind of roster got our attention and made us curious to see what the brand was all about.

One of the things Rheeder has emphasized in interviews is that Signature isn’t just another sponsor logo for athletes. Many of the riders involved are actually shareholders in the company, choosing “equity over a paycheck” and helping shape the brand and its products directly. Their goal is to build something more meaningful and long-term than a typical sponsorship arrangement.

First Look: Apparel and Components

We’ve brought in a selection of apparel from both their racer-fit and freeride-fit lines, along with their first hardgoods release, the Entra cockpit. The aluminum bar and stem combo comes in a sweet chrome Acid Wash finish that’s unlike any handlebar we’ve seen before.

The Acid Wash finish might catch your eye first, but the ride feel is what really makes the Entra cockpit stand out. There’s some thoughtful engineering behind the Entra 35 handlebar (available in 28mm and 42mm rise), which is shaped and butted to strike a balance between stiffness, strength, and vibration damping. That means a front end that feels precise when you’re loading into jumps or pushing through rough sections, without feeling overly harsh on your hands over long rides.

Pair it with the matching Entra 35 stem (available in 32mm and 42mm lengths), and the setup creates a solid and predictable cockpit, something freeride and slopestyle riders in particular appreciate when things get big and fast. The bar also features a modern width and rise profile, which plays well with today’s longer, slacker mountain bikes, making it a good option for riders who want a cockpit that feels stable, comfortable, and confidence-inspiring, whether you’re hitting jump lines, riding the park, or charging technical trails.

The Entra 35 handlebar also uses a narrow 70mm center clamp section designed to add vertical compliance, helping absorb vibration and keep the front end feeling less harsh on rough terrain.

Some early favourites for us from their apparel have been the Rover UPF Sun Hoodie and the Rover Pant (available in both men’s and women’s fits). Both pieces strike a nice balance between technical riding gear and everyday wear. The sun hoodie is one of the softest pieces we’ve tried on, while the pants offer a surprising amount of stretch along with practical cargo pockets. Both are great for riding, trail work, or whatever creative projects you might have going on.

The bike industry certainly isn’t short on component brands, so standing out in a crowded field is no small task. But with Rheeder’s background and input from some of the most influential riders in the sport, we’re excited to see where Signature goes from here.

If the first products are any indication, this feels like the beginning of something really cool.
